President Muhammadu Buhari said Nigerians are aware of the priority of education as nobody can succeed without a sound educational background.
This was made known by the President on Thursday, July 29, during a panel session at the Global Education Summit in London, United Kingdom.
The panel session also had the attendance of Presidents Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana, Faure Gnassingbe of Togo, Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya and Lazarus Chakwera of Malawi.
Buhari added that his administration is committed to raising the budget by 50% in the next two years and that Nigeria would attain a 100% increase in budget by the year 2025.
According to him, Nigerian parents do not joke with education as they are aware of the privileges their children will miss if they are not educated.
President Buhari noted that education is the starting point of success.
