Bose Ogulu, mother and talent manager of Nigerian singer and Grammy award winner, Burna Boy, during a recent interview with TV host and personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, has revealed that her son did not receive any money at his homecoming party in Rivers state.
Recall that Burna boy was hosted in Port-Harcourt for a homecoming event to celebrate his milestone few days after winning his first ever Grammy.
The event organised by the Rivers State Government under the leadership of Governor Nyesom Wike, was given nothing short of a royal welcome of Burna.
Governor Nyesom Wike had promised to give all the artistes who performed at the homecoming party N10m each.
However, Burna's Boy mother has said that all the artistes at the event were actually paid except his son.
Also when questioned on the singer relating with the same people in governance that he criticised, Bose stated that it made no sense for anyone to refuse honour in his father's house.
She added that the only reason Burna Boy showed up was because the state decided to celebrate him for achieving one of the greatest feat in his musical career.
