Movement of cattle from North to South should be banned - Kano Gov, Ganduje says

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje 

Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, is seeking to have a law enacted which would place a ban on the movement of cattle by herdsmen from the Northern part of the county to the southern region. 

According to the Governor, this he believes will help curb the recurring clashes between farmers and herdsmen. 

This was said by the Governor after meeting President Buhari at his hometown in Daura, Katsina state. 

Governor Ganduje added that the law will also address the issue of cattle rustling in the Northern region of the country.
