Man Nabbed For Impersonating Wife To Write Exam During Teacher's Recruitment Exercise

A man identified as Adekunle Aremu, has been arrested for impersonating his wife to write an examination during the Osun teacher's recruitment exercise.

Aremu who was at the CBT centre of Ilesha College of Education, Osun state, where the exam held, was nabbed after his passport photograph didn’t match with the photo records of applicants stored in the database of the Ministry of Education.

He was learnt to have been caught while trying to write the recruitment examination for his wife, Oyinlade Sade Adegbite.

Disclosing this in a statement on Wednesday, February 9, Information Officer of the Ministry of Education, Roseline Olwawuni, revealed that the suspect was apprehended with the help of operatives of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

Also reacting to the incident, the Osun State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Folorunsho Oladoyin condemned the act of impersonation while stressing it as shameful that a prospective teacher could be found in such act.
