Headies: Wizkid beats Davido, Burna Boy, Two Others To Emerge ‘Artist Of The Year’

 

Nigerian sensational musician, Ayo Balogun aka Wizkid, has won the ‘Artiste of the Year’ award at this year’s 14th Headies Award.

The musician beat Burna Boy, Davido, Mayorkun and Nigerian female musician, Tiwa Savage, who were also nominated for the prestigious award, to emerge the winner in the category.

The ‘Artist of the Year’ category comprises;

Burna Boy

Davido

Wizkid – Winner

Mayorkun

Tiwa Savage

This award has come for the Starboy in less than four months after the release of his “Made in Lagos” album last year.

Wizkid also became the first African and Nigerian with the longest charting African album on the Billboard World Albums chart following the release of the “Made in lagos” album.
