They were allegedly involved in an armed robbery which took place at Elekhala Housing Estate.
Confirming this, a press statement issued by the Ekiti Police Command Public Relations Officer, Nnmadi Omoni, stated that the two suspects were robbing people and dispossessing them of their valuables before they were nabbed.
According to Omoni, the timely arrival of the police led to the arrest of the suspects.
Sergeant Odege was attached to the Operations Department of the Rivers Police Command while his accomplice, Sampson Inomoghe, is a civilian.
The duo were arrested at a crime scene with three different handsets belonging to their victims and a locally made Bareta pistol.
