Nigerian Lawmaker Kills Suspected Armed Robber In Midnight Attack


A member of the House of Representatives, Abdullahi Salame (picture above), representing Gwadabawa/Illela Federal Constituency of Sokoto state, has disclosed how he killed a suspected armed robber who came to attack his residence. 

The lawmaker on his social media handle disclosed that he was attacked on Friday, January 29, around 3am at his Bado residence in Sokoto metropolis, and claimed that he killed one of the suspected armed robbers. 

"All thanks be to Almighty Allah. Today at about 3 a.m, I was attacked in my house in Sokoto by armed robbers but by Allah’s powers, I was able to shoot and kill one (robber) and injured some. I am grateful,” he wrote. 

Confirming the attack, the Sokoto State Police Spokesperson, Muhammad Sadiq, urged residents in the state to help with useful information which could aid police investigations and speed up the arrest of the perpetrators.
