The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu, has said that some of the youths who participated in the #EndSARS protest across the country want to join the Nigerian Police Force (NPF).
Speaking on a programme on Channels TV on Monday, January 25, the police boss stated that some of the #EndSARS protesters mainly youths want to join the force on the premise of “the service the police provide is a service of God”.
“The youths who participated in the #EndSARS and the rest of them, many of them want to join the police.
“Many of them will come and say, ‘Please, we want to join the police,’ because the service the police provide is a service of God," Adamu said.
Also when questioned on hospitals requesting police report before they attend to victims of gunshot wounds, Adamu enjoined medical officers to save lives first before any other thing.
