Biden Lifts Trump's Entry Ban On Nigeria, Others

US President, Joe Biden

Following the assumption of office of President Joe Biden of the United States, his first day in office has been used to issue some executive order undoing some of former president Donald Trump’s policies.

The adjusted and new executive order signed by Joe Biden in his first day at office was targeted on climate change and immigration policies implemented by the previous Trump administration in 2017.

Among the 17 new executive orders signed by Biden on Wednesday, January 20, were the order to end a travel ban from countries including Sudan, Yemen, Eritrea, Nigeria and 9 other countries.

President Biden had described the travel ban as an affront and discriminatory to the country’s values, and had sent a bill to Congress to overhaul the country’s immigration system.
