Angry Mom Pours Hot Water On 14-Years-Old Daughter For Refusing To Hawk

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of one Mary Omifunto, mother-of-four, for allegedly scalding her 14-years-old daughter, Oladiran Kaosarat, with hot water over the latter refusal to hawk. 

The unfortunate incident occurred few days ago when the mother, a food vendor, asked her daughter to hawk which she allegedly refused. 

Kaosarat refusal to hawk was learnt to have provoked Omifunto, who initially attacked her daughter with a metal object before allegedly pouring the hot water on her which resulted to severe burns on some parts of her body. 

Lagos State Police spokesperson, SP Muyiwa Adejobi, while condemning the incident said that it was surprising a mother could melt out such treatment to her biological daughter.
