The Presidency has disclosed why President Muhammadu Buhari didn't speak on the Lagos Lekki Toll Gate shootings on protesters during his speech on Thursday, October 22.
Presidential Aide, Femi Adesina, in an interview during a live programme on Channels Tv "Politics Today", said that it would be presumptuous and premature for the President to speak on the shootings while it was still being investigated.
According to Adesina, the Defence Headquarters and Lagos state Government was investigating the matter respectively. Hence, President Buhari couldn't have said anything amidst ongoing investigation.
Adesina noted that it would be after the investigations are concluded before the President can speak on the matter.
