From reports just gathered, residents of Ede, Ido-Osun, and Ofatedo areas of Osun state on Friday, October 23, bursted a cocoa industry warehouse and carted away with foodstuffs meant to serve as COVID-19 palliatives for residents of the state.
Foodstuffs like spaghetti, rice, noodles and other consumable food items were carted away by residents after forcing their way into the said store.
The food items had been reportedly donated to the Osun State Government by CACOVID, a private sector-led organization in Nigeria established to help the government in combating COVID-19 in the country, to be distributed as palliatives to the state residents.
This comes after a similar incident occurred in Lagos state as a warehouse was also busted and food items carted away by Lagos residents, which was meant for COVID-19 palliatives.
