While making campaign promises ahead of the forthcoming Edo Governorship election slated for September 19, 2020, Incumbent Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has made known his plans to train and empower repentant fraudsters "Yahoo Boys" on advanced Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
This also includes any other vocational skills, in the proposed new technology park in the state.
This was disclosed by Obaseki, who is seeking the governorship re-election bid under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), during a rally on Friday.
“I will train young boys who do ‘yahoo’ to work in our technology park. We will train them and ensure they become more useful to society.
“We have executed over 2000 projects in Edo in the past four years. So, when they say that Obaseki has done nothing in the past four years, it is a lie,” He said. (Culled from PUNCH)
