As shockingly and strange it may quite seem, Bollywood actor and star, Akshay Kumar, has revealed that he drinks cow urine daily.
The Indian celebrity is reportedly a staunch supporter of Hindu Nationalist Prime Minister, Narendra Modi's party, which has earmarked huge sums of dollars for research into products involving the use of "bovine" waste to cure diseases, the likes of cancer and diabetes.
Though no comprehensive scientific evidence have proven any medicinal benefits of cow urine, several politicians from Modi's ruling party have believed and advocated for the use of cow's urine and dung to cure COVID-19.
This is in addition to the belief of many Hindus that cows are sacred, and that its urine is of medicinal value.
The 53-year-old actor was present in a recent media programme with British television adventurer, Bear Grylls, where the duo drank tea made from elephant dungs in an Indian tiger reserve.
Meanwhile, COVID-19 has infected over 4 million people in India, with a death toll of 76,000.
