Nigerian Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Yusuf Buratai, has said that the dreaded terrorist group "Boko Haram", has been conquered and pushed out from all North-east states in the county, however remaining Borno state.
This was disclosed by the Army Chief during a meeting held on Monday, by the COAS, President Muhammadu Buhari, and the North-east state governors, in bid to tackle the incessant insecurity in the region.
He further disclosed that the military is fighting tirelessly to rid the insurgents out of Borno.
His statement reads;
“There are no Boko Haram terrorists in neighbouring states. They have been pushed out, and now cornered in Borno State.
“We are coordinating with civil and traditional authorities, mobilising and reinforcing and all we need is patience. We will not relent." (Culled from Lindaikejisblog)
