Suspended EFCC Acting Chairman, Magu Released From Detention

Ibrahim Magu

Suspended Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, has been reportedly released on bail from detention.

Magu’s release comes few hours following the Nigeria Police statement denying his detention under its command.

The Police had affirmed that Magu was only being held by a presidential panel probing him for mismanagement of recovered loots, and not under its auspices.

Recall that Magu was arrested on the 6th of July, 2020, by security operatives to face money laundering and other related crimes allegation, and had remained in detention since then.
