Following the death of Nigerian first female combat helicopter pilot, Tolulope Arotile, the Nigeria Air Force (NAF), has arrested two suspects in connection with Arotile's death.
This was disclosed by NAF'S Director of Public Relations, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola.
According to Air Commodore Daramola, the two suspects who are boys, are currently in NAF'S detention.
He also assured on NAF's strong will to investigate thoroughly on the matter.
The Nigerian Air Force had attributed Arotile's death to a road traffic accident after running into an excited classmate who accidentally hit her while on reverse motion in a vehicle.
This happened at the NAF Base in Kaduna, she was reported to have died after sustaining severe head injuries from the incident.
Meanwhile, she is to be buried on Thursday, July 23, at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja.
Arotile, a native of Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi state, and a Flying Officer of the Nigerian Air Force, was the first Nigerian combat helicopter pilot.
