Following the arrest and extradition of international fraudster, Ramon Abbas aka Hushpuppi, from the United Arab Emirates to the US over alleged involvement in multiple cyber crimes, Gal Pissetzky, who stands as counsel for Hushpuppi has said that his client is not a fraudster as against the widely speculation.
According to Hushpuppi's counsel, Pissetzky & Berliner said that alleged internet fraudster, Hushpuppi, was into legitimate businesses including real estate.
While speaking with Forbes, Pissetzky further affirmed that his client "Hushpuppi" was absolutely not guilty of all the charges levelled against him.
“He (Hushpuppi) was running a legitimate business and a very legitimate Instagram account and did not take part in any scam or fraud.”
“He’s an entrepreneur. He has real estate involvement … (he’s) an Instagram personality. He was promoting brands and that’s how he was very legitimately making his money,” Pissetzky said.
Hushpuppi along with his accomplices had been arrested by INTERPOL and Dubai Police on the 10th of June, over alleged involvement in multiple cyber crimes worth billions of naira.
On extradition to US, he is to face a risk of 20 years jail for also committing multiple fraud in the US.
Is this the end of road for Hushpuppi?!.
