Following the panel probe on Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, by the House of Representatives, the House of Reps. Speaker "Femi Gbajabiamila", has given a 48-hour ultimatum to Akpabio to name the lawmakers who has received contracts from the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Also recall that the NDDC Acting Managing Director, Kemebradikumo Pondei, had fainted while on probe by the same panel over mismanagement of the Commission funds.
Akpabio while appearing before the House Committee probing the NDDC on Monday, had said that about 60% of the NDDC contracts were given to lawmakers.
Reacting to this, Gbajabiamila has chided Akpabio saying his earlier statement was full of deceit. This was clarified by the Speaker while speaking at the House on Tuesday.
He further warned Akpabio to reveal the names of the lawmakers within 24 to 48 hours or face the full wrath of the House.
