Media Adviser to Abiola Ajimobi, Bolaji Tunji, has urged the public to disregard all death rumours of the ex-Oyo state governor and senator, Abiola Ajimobi.

While announcing this through his Facebook handle, he disclosed that Ajimobi is still alive but urged the public to be prayerful. A statement which makes it obvious that Ajimobi's condition could be very critical.
There have been rumour reports on the former Oyo governor’s death, without credible confirmation.
Multiple sources have indicated that Ajimobi is obviously in a critical condition but not dead yet, as against his rumoured death reports.
Some of Ajimobi’s close political allies have disclosed that the former governor and APC deputy chairman is still alive.
“His condition is stable, the doctors said”, said one of the top leaders of the APC.
“He is not dead. But his condition is bad”, another APC stalwart said. (Culled from PM news)
Ajimobi, 70, has been treating a serious COVID-19 illness at the First Cardiology Consultants Hospital in Ikoyi, Lagos state, where he slipped into coma and has been on the ventilator nearly to two weeks now.
Ajimobi represented Oyo state in the senate between 2003 and 2007. He was elected governor in 2011 and 2015. He however failed in his bid to return as a senator in 2019.
He was recently appointed as the Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), following the suspension of Adams Oshiomhole.
