Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu has issued an Executive order to civil servants in the state not to resume on Monday being May 4th.
This is coming after the Federal Government has relaxed lockdown across the nation which is suppose to start on Monday being May 4th.
The Governor through a statement ordered civil servants not to resume on the much speculated date, he asserted that only workers of essential services will be allowed to go on with their activities as usual.
Giving reasons for the new order, he said it was deliberated in a bid to stop overcrowding in the state which could result to another boom of recorded cases of the pandemic virus.
A statement extracted goes thus;
"On Tuesday, only officers from Grade Level 15 and above have express permission to come to work. All other essential officers that may need to be at work will be informed by the Accounting Officer of each Ministry as may be required." (Culled from PUNCH)
