A staff of Access bank has reportedly collapsed after receiving her sack letter from the Ketu/Ikorodu bank branch in Lagos state.
The 3-month pregnant lady with the name Taiwo works as a casher with the bank before the sack letter was effected.
She was immediately rushed to the hospital by close friends and relatives.
This is coming after the bank had earlier announced its plans to lay off many workers, due to the negative effect the pandemic virus had brought upon the bank.
Many workers had received their sack letters via their email over the weekend.
Access bank had earlier donated 1 billion naira to the Federal Government of Nigeria to help fight COVID-19 in the country, an act which has later got critics from many angles. some of the critics as stated implies that the bank should have ignored the optional donation if it had knew earlier that it was not financially buoyant, instead of the latter mass retrenchment of workers to cover up for the financial losses.
